US Army's Pacific Commander Lt Gen Mixon paid a courtesy call on Chief of Army Staff General Md Abdul Mubeen at the Army Headquarters Sunday, said an ISPR press release.
General Mixon spent some time with the Army Chief, exchanged greetings and discussed matters of bilateral interest.
Mr Mixon, who heads a seven-member delegation, arrived in Dhaka on a three-day visit Saturday. Chief of General Staff (CGS) of Bangladesh Army Major General Abdul Hafiz received the delegation at the Zia International Airport.
During his stay in Bangladesh, Lt Gen Mixon will pay tributes to the members of the Armed Forces, who embraced martyrdom during the War of Liberation in 1971, placing wreath at the 'Shikha Anirban' at Dhaka Cantonment.
He will also visit Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training (BIPSOT) at Rajendrapur Cantonment in Gazipur.
