US envoy upbeat on BD renewable energy

US Ambassador in Dhaka Dan W Mozena Tuesday said the United States would help Bangladesh light up the whole country with renewable energy.

He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the business expansion programme of Solar Intercontinental Limited (Solaric) at its corporate office.

Solaric, a joint venture of US-Bangladesh solar power company, is expanding its operation to grab the country's growing solar energy market.

Mozena also visited the new factory in the city.

In his speech, Mozena said he invited Bangladeshi origin US businessmen to invest in Bangladesh.

"The renewable energy company will work to enlighten entire Bangladesh," he expressed hope.
