CHITTAGONG, Oct 12: The US Embassy opened its visa issuing centre in the port city today.
Vice Consul General of the Embassy in Dhaka Will Romney formally inaugurated the centre at the Saimon Overseas Ltd Chittagong office on the 5th floor of Ayub Centre at Agrabad in the morning.
From now onward applicants for US visa in Chittagong will receive their visas after depositing passport and other relevant papers at the centre, officials said.
It will reduce hassle in getting visa from the Chittagong office while the intending applicants of Chittagong region will be able to save extra money and time.
Saimon Group CEO Wazir Alam, country manager of Oman Air Khondakar Ashraful Kabir and owner of the Ayub Trade Centre Mr Ayub were present on the occasion.
