Varsity student killed in air conditioner blast

A university student was killed following an air conditioner blast at Niketon, Gulshan in the capital on Sunday.

The victim was identified as Md Masrur Ahmed (23), a student of a private university.

The fatal incident happened around 6:00am at House No. 129 in the city's Niketon area.

He was rescued by fire service team and later rushed to Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute where the attending doctor declared him dead around 9:00am, according to fire service office.
