The Vitamin A-plus Campaign will be held in Kushtia district from today (Sunday) to October 17 for feeding Vitamin A-plus capsules to children aged between six and 59 months, says a statement.
As part of the programme, Kushtia civil surgeon organised a workshop in the district on Saturday.
District civil surgeon asked the district and upazila offices to make the National Vitamin A plus Campaign 2020 a success.
The campaign will be conducted under the auspices of the Public Health and National Institute and National Nutrition Service under the Ministry of Health and Family Planning with UNICEF assistances.
Chaired by Dr Anwarul Islam, Civil Surgeon of Kushtia, Md Imdadul Haque, district EPI superintendent, president of Kushtia Press Club (KPC) Rasidul Islam Biplob were also present in the programme.
Dr Md Nazmul Munir delivered the key-note paper.
