VoIP equipment recovered from city flat: 1 held

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Monday night recovered illegal Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) equipment worth about Tk 10 million (1.0 crore) from a house at Shekhertek in the city under Adabar Police Station and arrested one person in this connection, reports UNB.

When contacted, Assistant Superintendent of Police Kamrul Hasan, operation officer of RAB-4, told UNB that acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-4 conducted a raid at a flat at Shekherek at around 4:00 pm.

The elite force recovered a large quantity of illegal VoIP equipment worth about Tk 10 million (1.0 crore) from the flat and arrested one Linkon (30), on charge of running illegal trade of the equipment, he added.
