Vulgar CDs openly sold in Ctg city

CHITTAGONG, Aug 04 : Vulgar CDs are being sold openly in New Market and Agrabad areas of the city. Particularly the students of schools and colleges and youths are the main buyers of these discs, sources said.

These CDs with naked pictures of women are displayed in some stores in such a manner that the elderly people while walking on the footpaths along with their family members feel embarrassed .

About 25 mini stores beginning from the crossing of the road on the west of New Market upto New Rail Station and in front of the T&T office on Agrabad Badamtoli Road sell such CD's.

The sellers try to push vulgar CDs when clients buy discs of Bangla, English or Hindi films from their stores.

One CD trader in New Market area preferring anonymity said he sells 30 to 40 CDs almost every day which they procure from Dhaka.
