SM Nazrul Islam, the founding chairman of Walton Group, was laid to eternal rest at his family graveyard of Tangail's Gosaijoair after Asr prayers on Monday, reports UNB.
The first namaz-e-janaza of Nazrul Islam was held at the corporate office of Walton Group in Bashundhara residential area and second namaz-e-janaza was performed at Walton Factory at Chandra in Kaliakair of Gazipur on Monday.
SM Nazrul breathed his last at the Apollo Hospitals in the city on Sunday. He was 93.
He was the pioneer of the country's electrical and electronics products industry.
He left behind his wife, five sons and two daughters to mourn his death.
