Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) has said they have assisted army and other forces in maintaining law and order in the country during the recent violence, reports UNB.
A message sent from the Rab headquarters said they extended cooperation to the army, Border Guard Bangladesh and Ansar personnel to bring law and order under control by patrolling in parts of the country.
Rab also said it helped to recover arms and ammunition looted from police stations, police lines and police outposts and played a role in reopening police stations across the country.
Moreover, Rab assisted students in maintaining the traffic system and monitoring commodity markets, the message said.
