Rain/thunder showers with intense lightning flashes and temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions in the next 24-hour from 06:00 am today (Friday), according to the Met Office.

It may also occur at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions. Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.

The country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 34.3 degrees Celsius at Khepupara of Barishal and minimum was 20.3 degrees Celsius at Madaripur.
