Rain/thunder showers with intense lightning flashes and temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Barishal and Chattogram divisions in the next 24-hour from 06:00 am today (Tuesday), according to the Met Office.

It may also occur at a few places over Dhaka, Khulna, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.

Mild heat wave may sweep over Sylhet division and the districts of Madaripur, Rangamati, Noakhali, Feni, Khulna and Jashore.

Day temperature may fall by 2-3°C and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.

The country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded at 36.8 degrees Celsius at Jashore and minimum was 22.0 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.
