Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions in the next 24-hour from 06:00 am today (Thursday), according to the Met Office.

It may also occur at a few places over Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls.

Mild heat wave may sweep over Rangpur division and the district of Rajshahi.

Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country

The country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 37.5 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi and the minimum was 25.0 degrees Celsius in Kutubdia.

The highest temperature in the city was recorded at 34.6 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and the lowest was 25.8 degrees.
