Light to moderate rain/ thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Rangpur and Sylhet divisions in the next 24-hour from 06:00 am today (Thursday), according to the Met Office.
It may also occur at many places over Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Dhaka divisions with heavy to heavy falls over the country.
The country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 36.1 degrees Celsius in Mongla and the minimum was 24.0 degrees Celsius in Sitakunda.
The highest temperature in the city was recorded at 32.1 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and the lowest was 27.8 degrees.
