Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 hours from 06:00 am today (Thursday), according to the Met Office.

Severe heat wave may sweep over the districts of Rajshahi, Chuadanga, Kushtia and Patuakhali and mild to moderate heat wave may sweep elsewhere over the country.

The highest temperature in the country on Wednesday was recorded at 41.2 degrees Celsius in Chuadanga while the lowest temperature at 22.0 degrees in Rajarhat and Sayedpur.

The highest temperature in the city was recorded at 39.8 degrees Celsius on Monday and the lowest was 28.2 degrees.
