Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur division in the next 24 hours from 06:00 am today (Friday), according to the Met Office.

It may also occur at few places over Mymensingh, Chattogram, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls.

Day temperature may rise slightly over the country. Night temperature may remain nearly unchanged.

The highest temperature in the country on Thursday was recorded at 36.6 degrees Celsius in Jashore while the lowest temperature at 22.8 degrees in Rajarhat.

The highest temperature in the city was recorded at 35.5 degrees Celsius on Thursday and the lowest was 27.8 degrees.
