Rain/thunder showers is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Chattogram divisions and weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country until 06:00 pm today (Friday), according to the Met Office.

Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country during midnight to morning and it may continue till noon at places. Air navigation, inland river transport and road communication may disrupt temporarily due to fog.

Mild cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur division and the districts of Kishoregonj and Noagaon and it may continue.

Night temperature may rise slightly and day temperature may rise by (1-3)°C over the country. Cold day condition is likely to prevail at places over the country.

The highest temperature in the country on Thursday was recorded at 27 degrees Celsius in Cox's Bazar while the lowest temperature 8.0 degrees Celsius in Dinajpur.

The highest temperature in the city was recorded at 32.1 degrees Celsius and the lowest was 12.8 degrees.
