Rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Sylhet division with hails at isolated places until 06:00 pm today (Friday), according to the Met Office.

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.

The prevailing heat wave condition may continue. Due to increase of moisture incursion, the discomfort may persist.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The highest temperature in the country on Thursday was recorded at 39.2 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi while the lowest temperature 18.9 degrees Celsius in Dinajpur.

The highest temperature in the city was recorded at 35.5 degrees Celsius and the lowest was 27.0 degrees.
