Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country until 6:00 pm today (Saturday), according to the Met Office.

Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.

Severe heat wave is sweeping over Rajshahi and Chuadanga districts.

Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barishal and Chattogram divisions; rest part of Rajshahi and Khulna divisions and the districts of Rangpur, Dinajpur, Kurigram and Moulvibazar, and it may continue.

The highest temperature of the country was recorded on Friday at 41.2 degrees Celsius in Chuadanga, while the lowest temperature was 22.5 degrees Celsius in Dimla of Rangpur.

The highest temperature in the city was recorded at 39.2 degrees Celsius, and the lowest was 27.5 degrees Celsius.
