Light to moderate rain/thunder showers with temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country until 6:00 pm today (Friday), according to the Met Office.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Mild heat wave is sweeping over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Sylhet divisions and the districts of Tangail, Faridpur, Brahmanbaria, Khulna, Jashore and Chuadanga and it may continue. The highest temperature of the country was recorded on Thursday at 37.3 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi, while the lowest temperature was 24.3 degrees Celsius in Bandarban.
The highest temperature in the city was recorded at 35.2 degrees Celsius and the lowest was 27.4 degrees Celsius.
