Light to moderate rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at many places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.

It may occur at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country in the next 24 hours until 6:00 pm today (Thursday).

Mild heat wave is sweeping over the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna Satkhira, Jashore and Chuadanga and it may continue, reports UNB.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the Met Office said.

The country's highest temperature 37.0 degrees Celsius was recorded on Wednesday in Rajshahi and the lowest 23.5 degrees in Sylhet.

The sun sets in the city today (Thursday) at 6:44 pm and rises tomorrow (Friday) at 5:10 am.
