Weather may remain dry in Dhaka

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary cloudy sky in Dhaka and elsewhere across the country today (Tuesday), according to the Met office.

Besides, day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it said.

The Met Office also forecasted that rain or thunder shower accompanied by temporary gusty wind may occur at a few places over Khulna, Barishal, Dhaka and Chattrogram divisions and at one or two places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions today.

Maximum temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 33.5 degrees Celsius on Monday and the country's highest temperature was 36.2 degrees Celsius in Sayedpur.

The rate of humidity in Dhaka rose to 85 per cent on the day compared to that of 71 per cent in the previous day.

However, no mentionable rainfall was recorded in Dhaka until 6:0pm on the day while the country's highest rainfall was recorded at 50 millimetres in Jeshore.

The sun sets in Dhaka at 5:28pm today (Tuesday) and will rise at 05:59am tomorrow (Wednesday).
