Woman dies in Chattogram road accident

CHATTOGRAM, Apr 13 (UNB): A woman was killed while her daughter and two grandchildren were injured as an auto-rickshaw overturned after being hit by a locomotive at Kadamtoli rail crossing in the port city on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Arofa Begum, 57, while the injured are Taskima Begum, 35, her two daughters Meghla 13, and Srabon, 12, of Eidgah Mansurabad area.

Quoting witnesses, police said the accident took place around 9pm when the locomotive hit the auto- rickshaw while it was crossing the rail tracks.
