Work on KSA-donated housing project starts in Sidr-hit dists

PIROJPUR, Aug 4 (UNB): Work on the housing project taken up for the four Sidr-stricken districts with the financial assistance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) government has finally started from Sharankhola Upazila of Bagerhat district.

Members of Saudi Relief Mission formally started the programme handing over construction materials for 1,000 housing units to Bagerhat Deputy Commissioner Shahidul Islam in Sharankhola Upazila Sunday.

Relief and Rehabilitation Department has taken up the project with the financial assistance of Saudi government to construct 21,200 houses for the cyclone Sidr-affected people of Bagerhat, Pirojpur, Barguna and Patuakhali districts.
