Worker dies from electrocution in city

A construction worker was electrocuted in the city's Khilgaon area on Sunday.

The victim was identified as Md Jewel, 28, Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police camp Sub- Inspector Bachchu Mia said.

Quoting the witnesses the SI said Jewel was electrocuted at around 11.00am, while working on the first floor of a building in Meradia, Porabari intersection under Khilgaon.

Locals took him to the DMCH for treatment, where the attending doctor declared him dead at 12.15pm, the SI said.
