Worker dies in city wall collapse

A worker died and another was injured as a wall nearby Dhaka Customs House at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport collapsed on them on Tuesday, reports UNB.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP media) of Armed Police Battalion Tarique Ahmed said a construction of drainage beside the import cargo parking area of the customs office was underway in the morning.

The wall collapsed when the workers were digging a 7 to 8 feet deep hole on the ground beside the custom house office for construction of a drainage line, killing one on the spot and injuring other, he said.
