Workshop on customs automation held

Speakers at a workshop in the city Saturday said the automation of freight forwarding documentation and operation would improve efficiency of the customs making the job simple and less time consuming, reports BSS.

Bangladesh Freight Forwarders' Association (BAFFA) organised the orientation workshop on Chittagong Custom House Automation Project for its member at Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre.

Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) president Annisul Huq attended the workshop as the chief guest while BAFFA president Helaluddin Akbar presided over the function.
