Writ seeks probe into Barishal FF allowance embezzlement

A writ petition was filed with the High Court (HC) on Sunday seeking its directive to investigate the alleged embezzlement of Barishal district's freedom fighters' allowance worth Tk 40 million, reports UNB.

Four including Secretary of Liberation War Affairs Ministry, Barishal Deputy Commissioner (DC) and chief information officer of the Information Commission were made respondent to the petition.

Earlier on January 2, a newspaper reported the graft allegation.
