W'shop on economic zones policy in city today

A workshop on 'Economic Zones Policy in Bangladesh' will be held at a city hotel today (Wednesday), reports UNB.
The Board of Investment (BoI) of Bangladesh, the IFC Bangladesh Investment Climate Fund and the World Bank are jointly organising the workshop.
Industries Adviser Geeteara Choudhury will attend the workshop as the chief guest while World Bank Country Director Zhu Xian will be present as the special guest on the occasion.
The hosts of the event will be represented by BoI Executive Chairman Md Nazrul Islam and James Crittle, head of IFC Bangladesh Investment Climate Fund, a new programme that will partner the government for giving assistance with key private sector policies.
Top government officials including leading business people and eminent economists will participate in the workshop.
Panel discussions will engage other distinguished speakers from the government, the civil society and the private sector including the head of Youngone's Korean Export Processing Zone, the first private EPZ in the country.
