Young man shot dead

COX'S BAZAR, Nov 30 (UNB): A young man was shot to death by a gang of robbers at Purba Goakhali village in Pekua upazila early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Khalek,28, son of Ola Miah, a resident of the same village.
Abdur Rakib, officer-in-charge of Pekua Police Station, said a gang of robbers, numbering 10/12, swooped on the house of businessman Mir Kashem at the village and kept the house inmates hostage at gunpoint around 2:30 am.
