Wife, along with her brother, knifed her husband to death at their house in Kamalapur Sweeper Colony in the city in the early hours of Friday, reports BSS.
Police said they detained victim's wife, who gave a confessional statement during the preliminary interrogation.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of Shahjahanpur Police Station Belayet Hossain said police recovered the blood-stained body of Md Faruk Hossain, 28, from his house at about 8.15 am.
The body was sent to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy.
A medical source said the body bore severe injury marks in his belly and chest, and he might have been killed Thursday night.
Police said before stabbing, Bina and her brother Omar Faruk, tortured the victim as he (victim) disclosed the link of their Yaba trading, police added.
A case has been lodged with Shahjahanpur police station.
