‘Youth training centre to be set up in every upazila’

State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russel said on Sunday youth training centre will be set up in every upazila to include younger generation into the mainstream of development, reports BSS..

"Youth training centre will be set up in every upazila to provide youths with work and there will be arrangement for training and entertainments for them," he told a programme arranged by 'Yes BD' and 'Youth for changing Bangladesh' in the city.

Russel said nearly 5.5 million youths have been provided with training so far and among them 2.2 million are now self-employed.

He said stadiums have been built in every upazila to keep the youths engaged in sports and away from drugs and terrorism.
