The second death anniversary of eminent jurist and constitution expert Dr Muhammad Zahir, Bar-at-Law, will be observed today (Saturday), says a press release.
Dr M Zahir was a teacher of Company Law at the University of Dhaka (DU) and was a Senior Advocate of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. He also served as a convener and member of several Company Law Reform Committees in Bangladesh and was elected a Member of the Court of Arbitration at the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, France.
He is renowned for his analytical legal publication named 'Company and Securities Laws', which is being widely used as a book of reference in South Asia, Australia, Canada and UK.
His colleagues and friends have been requested to seek Allah's mercy and blessings for his departed soul.
