Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman said on Sunday the government is thinking of increasing the salary of primary school teachers to enhance the quality of education, reports UNB.
He told this to reporters at the Secretariat while addressing a press conference on the upcoming Bangabandhu Gold Cup Primary School Football Tournament, slated for June 8.
The ministry has already sent letters to the deputy commissioners and the upazila nirbahi officers to regularly inspect the education institutions so that they can monitor if the primary education programme is running well in their respective districts, he added.
