11 Jamaat-Shibir men held in Ctg, Bogra

CHITTAGONG, Nov 15 (BSS): Chittagong district police arrested three activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir from different areas of Sitakundu Upazila early today.

A team of Sitakundu thana police in a drive conducted at Barabkunda area of the upazila and arrested three activists of Jamaat-Shibir in connection with a case of sabotage before general election on January 5 last, said Sub-inspector (SI) Reazaul Karim of Sitakundu thana.

UNB adds from Bogra: Police arrested eight activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS), the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, including its Azizul Haque College unit president, from Satmatha area of the district town Saturday morning.

The arrestees were identified as Shamiul Islam, president of Azizul Haque College unit ICS and its activists Mushfiqur Rahman, Kayes Uddin, Abdul Matin, Shariful Islam, Uzzal Hossain, Shah Alam and Rezaul Karim.
