12 BNP activists injured in police action in Jhenidah

At least 12 BNP activists were injured as police charged baton on them when they brought out a procession at Post Office crossing in Jhenidah district town Saturday as part of the party's countrywide demonstration programme, reports UNB.
Witnesses said district BNP leaders and activists led by General Secretary Abdul Malek of district unit brought out a procession in protest against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's remarks relating to party's senior vice chairman Tarique Rahman and his younger brother Arafat Rahman Koko.
