PIROJPUR, May 8 (UNB): At least 12 persons were injured in a clash between two rival groups of Awami League (AL) at Balipara Bazar under Zianagar Upazila Thursday night.
Police said the two groups-one led by Kalam Sepoy and another by Matin Khan-had long been at loggerhead over a project work in the area.
As a sequel to the conflict, the two groups locked horns at 8:30pm. Chase and counter chase took place during the two-hour melee that left 12, including traders, injured.
