14 Indian fishermen sent to jail in Bagerhat

BAGERHAT, Aug 26 (UNB): A court  sent on Wednesday 14 Indian fishermen, who were arrested from Fairway Buoy area of the Bay ofBengal on Monday for illegal intrusion in the Bangladesh maritimeboundary, to jail.

Judge of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court passed the order whenpolice produced them before his court, said sub-inspector of MonglaPolice Station Manjur Elahi.

Earlier on Monday, members of Bangladesh Navy detained the 14 Indianfishermen along with a trawler from the Fairway Buoy area. when theywere fishing in the Bangladesh water territory
