15 get 10 years each for JMB link

MYMENSINGH, July 29 (bdnews24.com): A Mymen-singh court Sunday sentenced 15 persons to 10 years in jail each for sheltering Siddiqul Islam Bangla Bhai and assisting the banned militant outfit JMB.
Magistrate Shefali Begum of the Speedy Trial Court handed down the verdict.
The convicts have to pay a fine of Tk 10,000 each or serve 10 more months in jail if they fail to pay the sum.
The convicts are Shamsul Haque (age unknown), Mukhles (37), Abdur Rahman (32), Mannan (26), Nazmul Haque (30), Abdul Hye (50), Mohammad Ali Master (60), Shahidullah Hattu (35), Saheb Ali Master (37), Fulbar Hossain (35), Sekandar Ali (26), Hatem Ali (18), Abul (35) and Motaleb known as Hira Khalifa (45).
They are all residents of Muktagachha Upazila in the district.
RAB arrested the convicts in a pre-dawn raid on Ichhakhali Bazar while having a secret meeting on May 6.
The RAB arrested JMB second in command Bangla Bhai in Rampur village of the upazila on March 6, 2006. He was hanged for his role in the killings of two judges in the southern district of Jhalakathi.
