7Two Bangladeshi nationals, got stranded in separate hotels in Yemen, are 'safe' and they are 'not worried' about their safety, said an official at Bangladesh Embassy in Kuwait on Sunday, reports UNB.

"They're safe and sound," Counsellor SM Mahbubul Alam told the news agency through viber communication.

He said they are in touch with the two Bangladesh nationals through email and telephone and with their relatives in Bangladesh, too.

Golam Mostafa (60), a civil engineer, and Mohammad Sirajul Haque got stuck at hotels due to strikes by allied forces on Houthi rebels there.

Asked whether they will be brought back to Kuwait or Bangladesh, the official said they are trying to identify how many Bangladeshis are living there.

Golam Mostafa reportedly emailed to a leading daily saying that they got stuck in hotels and appealed for rescuing them.

Mostafa's relatives urged the government to take initiatives to bring back him.

There is no Bangladesh Embassy in Yemen.

The Saudi-led coalition has been carrying out military action in Yemen for the last few days to combat Shia Houthi rebels.
