2 war-crime suspects sent to jail

The prosecution produced Tuesday before the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 Advocate Shamsul Haque and SM Eusuf Ali, accused of committing crimes against humanity during the liberation war in 1971, reports BSS.
The ICT-2 sent them to jail and set March 30 for submitting progress report on investigation into the case.
The tribunal Monday issued warrants for arrest of eight Jamaat leaders, including the duo, of Jamalpur.
The tribunal issued warrants after accepting a plea filed by prosecutor Tapas Kanti Baul.
The eight are Md Ashraf Hossain, 64, Prof Sharif Ahmed, 71, Md Abdul Mannan, 66, Md Abdul Bari, 62, Md Harun, 58, Md Abul Hashem, 65, Adv Shamsul Haque, 70, and SM Eusuf Ali, 83.
