20 BNP men sued

SYLHET, June 29 (UNB): A case was filed against 20 leaders and activists of BNP in connection with Friday's killing of JCD leader Zillul Haque Zillu.
Ahmed Hasan Mahbub, elder brother of Zillu, filed the case with Kotwali thana Saturday night, said Rahmat Ullah, additional deputy-commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police.
Vice office secretary of city unit BNP and vice-president of city unit Chhatra Dal, Mahbub Kadir Shahi, President of Madan Mohon College unit JCD Kazi Meraj, JCD leader Kala Jamal, Gazi Liton were among the accused.
Zillul Haque Zillu (25), a Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) leader, was hacked to death by unidentified miscreants in the city's Patatula area on Friday evening.
Police suspected that Zillu was killed following JCD's internal feud.
They also arrested two JCD activists and recovered a bloodstained knife from the spot.
