BOGRA, Feb 14 (UNB): The BNP-led 20-party alliance called on Saturday a 48-hour hartal in the district from Sunday in protest against blocking food supply to Khaleda Zia's Gulshan office.
VP Saiful Islam, president of the district unit BNP, announced the shutdown from a protest procession brought out by the BNP-led 20-party alliance at Khandar in the district town in the morning.
The hartal will begin at 6.000 am Sunday and will end at 6.00 am Tuesday.
On February 11, law enforcers allegedly blocked the supply of food and bottled water to Khaleda's Gulshan office.
The BNP chairperson has been staying in the office along with nearly 50 people, including some BNP leaders, office staff and her personal security personnel.
