Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said on Monday the 2018 general election is a turning point in the country's history, reports BSS.
The minister made the comments while speaking at a meeting with district correspondents of Bangladesh Television (BTV) at Rampura in the city.
State Minister for Information Advocate Tarana Halim also attended the meeting.
The minister said BNP had rehabilitated and nurtured enemies of the state.
"The country is not safe in their hands," he reminded.
He called upon the journalists to stand by the state and uphold its constitution.
He also asked them to tell the story of Bangladesh's miraculous development under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the sad tale of sufferings and pain provoked by opposition arsonists.
2018 polls a turning point in country's history, says Inu
