THAKURGOAN, Jan 6 (UNB): Local BNP called a 24-hour hartal from 5pm Tuesday in the district protesting the arrest of BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
District unit BNP general secretary Taimur Rahman confirmed this while talking to reporters at the district BNP office.
Earlier, Detectives Tuesday afternoon picked up BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhru Islam Alamgir after his overnight stay inside the Jatiya Press Club due to 'security concern'
