250 people sued over bomb, arms recovery at CU

CHITTAGONG, Sept 17 (UNB): Police filed two cases Wednesday accusing 250 people in connection with the recovery of petrol bombs and sharp weapons from Shaheed Abdur Rob Hall of Chittagong University (CU) Tuesday.
Mohammad Ismail, officer in-charge of Hathazari Police Station said sub-inspector (SI) Arifuzzaman filed a case mentioning names of 69 people and some 20-25 unnamed people and SI Abdur Razzaq filed another case mentioning names of 125 people and 20-25 unnamed people.
Both the cases were filed under Special Powers Act.
Earlier Tuesday, police in a drive recovered 18 petrol bombs and some sharp weapons from Shaheed Abdur Rob Hall of Chittagong University.
