Around 2,752 vehicles reached their destinations across the country, including the capital, safely under the protection of law enforcers since early Thursday to Friday noon during the BNP-led 20-party alliance's countrywide blockade, reports UNB.
Vehicles, including buses, covered vans and goods-laden trucks, were being given protection by different law enforcement agencies, including police and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).
Of the vehicles, 1046 travelled from Chittagong to Dhaka while 1406 from Satkhira-Jessore-Aricha to Dhaka, 118 from Rajshahi-Bogra to Dhaka, 112 from Cox's Bazar to Chittagong and 70 from Rangpur to Dhaka during the period from 6am Thursday to 12 noon on Friday, said sources at the BGB headquarters.
