2nd Shaheed Minar in USA before V Day

The Bangladesh community in the United States (US) will soon get the second Shaheed Minar in Paterson city, New Jersey, reports UNB.

The construction work on the Shaheed Minar (Martyr's Memorial) formally started at the Westside Park, 139 Preakneas Avenue of the city on Saturday.

The construction is expected to be completed before December 16 this year and the project partners intend to formally unveil it on the forthcoming Victory Day, according to a foreign ministry media release issued Sunday.

Once completed, the project is expected to be the second Shaheed Minar in the USA after Texas.
