3 AL men arrested over flash processions in city

Detective Branch (DB) of police has arrested three leaders and activists of the banned Awami League (AL), and its affiliates in separate drives across the capital in the last 24 hours, reports BSS.
They were detained on charges of bringing out sudden anti-government processions in the capital with intent to disrupt law and order, said a police press release.
Among the arrestees are former Babuganj Upazila Chairman and ex-president of Babuganj Upazila AL in Barishal district, Kazi Emdadul Haque Dulal (60), who was arrested from the Khilgaon area around 3:15 pm on Friday.
Organizing Secretary of the Jatiya Sramik League's Lakhai Upazila branch in Habiganj Mohammad Ismail Mia (37) was apprehended from the Paltan area around 12:45 pm the same day.
President of D-Block unit of Pallabi Thana Ward No. 5 of AL and former Jubo League leader Md Abdus Salam Khokon alias Naira Khokon (60) was arrested from the Pallabi area.
