3 BCL men shot by police in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Mar 29 (UNB): Three activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) were injured as police opened fire on them in Raipara area of the city on Saturday night.

The injured were identified as Parvez (26), son of Anwar Hossain, a resident of Haliadanga, Shuvo (20), son of Aftab Ali, student of Rajshahi College, and Tushar (22), student of Northern University.

Police asked them to stop while they were going towards the city passing through Raipara level crossing on a motorbike.

The law enforcers opened shots on them as they refused and showed an arms-like object.

They received bullet injuries on their right legs.

The trio managed to flee the spot and was later admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
