3 Hijbut Tahrir men arrested with leaflets

CHITTAGONG, Apr 30: Police today arrested three activists of Hijbut Tahrir, a banned outfit, from different areas in the city, while distributing leaflets among the mosque-returned Muslims.
Rashedul Ahmed Mojumder (22), a student of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, CUET, was arrested while distributing leaflets in front of Baitul Quader Jame Mosque at Baluchara under Bayejid Bostami thana. Police arrested Minhajuddin (18), student of Latifa Siddiqui Degree College from in front of East Feroj Shah Jame Mosque under Sitakunda area and Mozammel Hussain Manik (20), a restaurant worker was arrested from Gola Rasul Market Mosque premises at Reazuddin Bazar area under Kotwali police station.
The police seized a good number of leaflets from them. Rashed and Minhaj confessed to the police that they are activists of the Hijbut Tahrir but Manik said he came from Lohagara of Chittagong only a few days back in search of job and was working in a hotel at Reazuddin Bazar.
